Yeah it’s a pre-CBS, Pre-FMIC, one off reproduction of Leo Fender’s 1964 jazz bass... just like any custom shop or AVRI made by some corporate reincarnation of “Fender”. I’m gonna make this very clear to anyone (not you JIO) that has an issue with my bass. I DIDN'T WANT A NEW FENDER... I WANTED A BEN OWEN’S BUILT INSTRUMENT because they are better than anything short of custom shop Fenders. It just so happens that I wanted a 64 jazz aesthetically, but with the playability and quality of Ben’s work.

As an attempt to soften/derail any escalation of the Fender decal topic ... yes, we can all agree it is not a Fender. As has been brought up many, many.., many times when revisiting this debate - it would be a forgery if ... one attempted to sell it as a legitimate Fender product. Otherwise, no-one outside of geeks here on tb or any other bass-centric forums could care less. Seriously. Please, let's avoid beating this dead horse here on my thread. I will not let my thread devolve to the level that many forums devolve into over such a small, 'who cares' issue.
