I personally take umbrage at Fender using Fender decals on most of that stuff they're selling as Fenders"They" take umbrage to the Fender DECAL on the headstock , after all: it IS technically a forgery.

That's really cool and for all the varying discoloration it's not really beat. Pretty dent and chunk free considering. It's quite lovely.

That's a great example of the coats required to build the perfect CAR finish right there. Lovely.
Down the rabbit hole I go...Yes he was a motorcycle repair-guy and fabricated his own custom parts for motorcycles and guitars/basses. Most had aluminum necks or aluminum and wood necks/hs's.
