I knew Glenn Parker the maker of Parker Guards.
He was a jazz guitarist in Portland Or. He had gigged with my dad on various occasions. Somewhere I have some gig recordings of them.

Cool - I almost bought one recently because it aged so nicely. Looked like it was made of marble.

From a concurrent thread - an unknown Soviet era short-scale. Most likely light blue aged/amber'd to pale green.

Yes, always worth another watch. I feel the same way - that we are custodians of these guitars. They will outlive us.

I first noticed the phenomenon way back in my collector car days. These rich old guys would proudly show up with a Packard or Hispano Suiza or Continental Rolls. Then after a few decades the car, sadly, becomes available. Then the cycle continues.

The roasted maple goes PERFECTLY with the relic finish
