1965 Fender Jazz Electric Bass Guitar Vintage American Olympic White USA w/OHSC
That is one sweet looking bass and my birth year too. Hmmmm.......
View attachment 969701 oh yes ..... the full frontal (was actually considering selling it at one point_ I am not the original owner)
ATC, not a terrible price for that bass. I was a bit taken back with current eBay prices on vintage Fenders. A couple seem very reasonable within the ever-rising 'market value' of vintage Fenders.
That's a beauty - I bet it sounds great!![]()
Yes thank you Jio! I was lucky and happend to try a bunch of pre cbs and post cbs j basses at the time and this was a clear winner. It had the neck and tone that fit "the voices " in my head
This is my fav talkbass thread by the way!
Yes, I was surprised for Olympic white with matching headstock that it wasn't in the 10K range.
Here is a sound clip of the 1965 fender above (the sunburst distressed jazz) in action from a standard called 'the night has a 1000 eyes'. Nothing sounds as good as a vintage fenderThat's a beauty - I bet it sounds great!![]()
A nicely distressed 1961 stacked knob jazz owned by Pino Palladino. (Definitely not mine)
