SHOW YOUR DISTRESSED FINISHES!

I've tried but been unsuccessful. I just can't get the feel right...then my skin falls apart and I just bleed into a glove anyway!
I used to get the same thing..fingers would split and crack wide open like you could stitch em up. I used to soak in domboro solution and did light therapy at the Mayo clinic and eventually it went away. Played many shows all gauzed and taped up. Hasn't been back but it was a real issue for years. 419824_10151253881875472_1468809_n.jpg

I have a random skin condition that has had the attention of multiple doctors, allergy specialists and dermatologists. It effects my fingertips and knuckles, and my skin just shreds and breaks open. So I spend much of my playtime with my fingers superglued or newskinned shut. It's like playing a cheese grater. Its been discovered that it's a strange 'off brand' problem with gluten, oddly enough. It heals across a few months when I go gluten free.
I have celiac, and one of my symptoms was getting rashes. Including on my hands.

interesting... very similar. Oddly going gluten-free seems to work for me. Although I need to do more research.

This is at my favorite dope man/friend's shop right now waiting for me to sell a kidney or two. I shouldn't have been so hasty in that whole my first born man-child's soul to Satan deal for my black & tort '64 AVRI Jazz and held out. As luck would have it even with the remaining souls of my two daughters I'm still a little light.

Anyway...here, enjoy. If you have the loot it's at Dave's Guitar in LaX, WI.

Interesting that although this great distressed '65 bass is $10,000 a perfect and correctly restored one owner lefty '65 jazz is available in Canada for $8,000. I've heard a paint job on vintage guitars lowers the price 40%.

Outstanding!

That is the result of some serious decades-long pro playing! :wideyed: Unless it has had one already, it might need a fret-job but there's no doubt in my mind that that bass will sound awesome. Being made in early '65 puts it in the "last Leo Fender Fender" category so I can imagine it being $$,$$$.
