I got it from a girl who thought she wanted to play bass but ended up playing drums. Here parents bought the bass new for her, a few months later my mom bought it from her for me (I was 15 in Jan 1970) and the girl bought drums. I played the drums at her house for a while too. It was a hang out for young musicians and she was never there. The original pick up died and was replaced with a Hot Bill Lawrence in 1977. The pick guard fell apart in in the 80's I replaced it with one made of leather but removed it shortly after. I ordered one via EBay a few years ago but it didn't fit right.One of the few with pops- did you have a choice of tuners when you bought it then? What type of pu?
