Show your Epifani setups!!!

The bottom 2x12 is one of the first production cabs that Nick made (according to Nick). It doesn't have a tweeter, EV drivers - and it sounds like BASS!

I no longer have the rest of this rig - only the bottom 2x12 cab.

Wow, been dreaming about this rig......50 lbs total!!! Have the head - need the cabs!!!!

I love it.. I was carrying around 2 Aguilar GS112s and a GK700RB before (along with my electric, upright, stool, and other stuff).. Now, atleast, I dont have to go to a gig with my back killing me before we even start.

Not to mention its probably the best setup I've heard so far for what I need.

Hey jkdahlman,

How 'bout a quick review of your EA plus 2 PS112's.
I'm considering moving from my Schroe 1210 & Mini12+ and getting the PS112,s or EA NL210 or 2 Wizzies or ????

Thanks, Kirk

Kirk,
I haven't had the joy of playing through 2 112s, yet. The T110s are doin' fine so far for the gigs I play. The EA is, IMHO, almost as neutral as my rack rig through the Epi's. Where it differs is that the EA is bigger. The sound is just bigger. At this point I'm ascribing theis to the power supply of the EA. The switchmode PS of my Crown may be the diff. Research is underway.
I firmly believe in a neutral, or as close as i can get, rig. I'm perfectly capable of screwing up the sound without adding in some designers idea of the "perfect" tone. The rig in the pic has done a wide variety of gigs and held up beautifully.
To be honest, this is the first bass head I've played through in 20 years that made me happy.
Oh yeah, I may have a strong opinion about stuff, here & there (ask Quadzilla). To wit: I think the Schro cabs are unbearably colored. I want to like Eden, but it always ends up sounding dead to ME. Ampeg is clanky. But then I think A.M.P./Acoustic/ThunderFunk amps are a blast. Put the flame throwers away.
On to the Epi's. They're great. Really, really great. But, there are still times I love my Acme LowB2. The EA can drive the !!!! out'a it. I've found the Epi's seem to "throw" better than the Acme. Cool but, not always a benefit on very small stages. I do think the Epi's are better at pitch accuracy than the Acme or my single Bag End 15. In the end, I'm really happy. But that's just me. The combination works perfectly for me. YMMV, etc. I like clean, tight & even.
Hope some of this helped. Yeah, I'm completely obsessive about getting my tone. It's worked so far;)

Aren't we all?? Or we wouldn't be here!! :bassist:

Cool. I'd like to know whatcha think. (Can probably guess right now.:)

Thanks! I love this rig.

That's my office/bass/computer room too.

Actually just got back... Jim closed the shop early (so I dropped off my rig early to my gig that is close by), I got there at 4:45 and nada... I was so excited to head over there to check it out.

Maybe tomorrow.

Here's my humble little rig.

I've mainly set it up for great sound with my Rob Allen basses, but it's pretty good sounding with slab basses too. It's a great ultra light rig (under 65lbs with the MB-2!), plus if I'm playing with acoustic players, all I need is the UL-110, Fishman preamp and Clarus. Add the UL-112, turn the amp up and it's respectably loud.

Hey Ken, recognize anything?

Nice. I'm using the Clarus into UL-110 setup for all my DB gigs now and I love it. I used it for a loud electric gig with a 1x12 cab underneath (from a GK combo without the head), and it did great. Eventually I want to get another UL-110 for electrig gigs.

as you can see from the website, you'll be fine. just run each cab their own speakon, and you're ready to rock. UL112's have two speakons each, but you might as well run each cab their own output, since most amps including the TFB work in parallel, so it'll run the power section in a 4 ohm mode, regardless if the cabs are daisy chained or running from an individual output on the amp.
