Show Your Fake Relic Basses

I received it in a trade, so it wasn't my build, but the Neck is an Allparts 1.75" Telebass style neck. Pickup is SD Custom Shop P Stack. There is no wiring route so it can be used without the pg. ferrules look like the standard ferrules I've seen on many other string thrubody basses....

I have an AllParts neck on mine too, not sure if it is 1.75", but is thick front to back. Love it. I have the SD CS pickup too. Do you have it setup for both single and split coil? Mine currently is, but thinking of going straight split coil.

You're im Michigan - leave it out in the garage (or shed for a couple of days in the cold part of winter, then bring it straight in to the house.
Don't use a case, make sure you remove the strings first.
I was just going to say put the body in the freezer, apparently this really works. I'm not sure how safe that is for the neck tho. People think I'm joking when I say do what Ace Frehley's ex did, and just chuck them out the back door into the snow.

There's some really nice selections in the thread. Here's my Fender CS 59 RI, originally NOS which now looks like a relic.

Damn your right, i did get it wrong, it's an 09 !

Hey maybe the strong sunlight in that pic makes it look a little red in the middle but it certainly is 2 tone burst.
That's weird...I can see red in the top pic. sweet bass tho....does it have the v-neck? I had a real 56 and I love that profile.

The last time I saw one of those RI b15's it was close to 5 grand. I have a 69 and it's worth about 1500. go figure...

A few I've seen here on this thread are good candidates for inclusion! Feel free to add them to my thread! :bassist:

I'll assume you're talking to me, and YES it's a Fender logo.
It's the bridge from the elite and, later plus series basses.
We owned a music store in the early 90s and so I could parts and it was to my eye the most attractive heavy bridge around (and I could get it cheap), so I got one and put it on.

Yes, danosix, I was asking about your bass, not a very good quote job, sorry. Are those round things some kind of micro-tuner, height adjustment, optical illusion? Never seen one.
Thanks,
MJ
