I'm building one right now. Fender JBass Classic sunburst nitro body, Gold Hipshot everything: tuners, 3 string retainer, high mass bridge. Gold control plate, neck plate, knobs, gold strings... it's going to be righteous.

Just yesterday I was thinking about adding gold hardware to one of my bass ukes, and what amazes me is a thread always seems to come up relating to one of my ideas. Yesterday I also thought about having another bass uke painted Olympic white and add a tortoise pickguard, and again a thread came up on TB about that.

I haven't finalized on which bass I'm going use the gold hardware, either a blue one, or I've been thinking of adding a burl veneer to a natural one.

Finally got to posting the bass uke to which I added gold hardware. It's a 24" scale Rondo Hadean with Road Toad Pahoehoe poly strings and fake pickups. Gotoh tuners, gold Gibson knobs and truss rod cover, and Jokomo stick on scroll fret markers that I also added to the strap. One day I'll have Pat Wilkins match the headplate to the blue body.

Been wanting to post for weeks now but parts were held up in customs. Paid the duty on the final parts today and got it finished My Peavey Zephyr 5 is looking and sounding pretty. The Zephyrs were a European only release from Peavey, 34" neck thru using a Cirrus type shape body, same soapbars as went in the Grind. Mine now sports Wilkinson versions of the Ultralites.a Tone Monster preamp,2 Warman Jazzbar humbuckers (hidden under rosewood boxes), Wilkinson bridge,Schaller strap locks, Marshall amp knobs and Aurora strings. Control cavity and TRC were swapped for black ash.
