Maybe 3 years before I started on bass my dad bought this Applause for me for 20 bucks. :D I never played it, lent it to my cousin for a while, and eventually made it back to me, which is when I made my own distortion circuit/preamp and stuck that in there as a neat project. That's what all those knobs and LED's sticking out of the pickguard are. The paint job was there when I got it, and I have no idea whose sig that is.

I'm not very good, but it's interesting to play sometimes. Currently 3 of the tuners are being used on my washtub bass, so it's useless right now. :D

Pretty good for $20!

Like Xavier, I have a nylon Yamaha classical
I play often.

After that, I have a Martin HD12-28 12 string
acoustic I use QUITE a bit.

I have a 74 Gibson 355 ( like the 335, but a bit
more ornate ) that I bought in Florida 19 years
ago for $525. Seems like yesterday. I pretty
much keep that in the closet.

I also own a Hagstrom semi-hollow body electric
that is similar to the 355 in appearance, it
is on permanent loan to my best friend. Nice
guitar I got 20 years ago for 200.

I have a Silvertone lap steel my son absconded
with.

Also 2 violins hanging around that need strings
and bridges replaced.

And assorted other harmonicas, bongos and various
and sundry noisemakers. Regular Frank Zappa
studio!

A few weeks ago i bought a cheapie Indiana Guitar Company Scout Acoustic. It was about $100 and is serving its purpose quite nicely. I am tempted though just to tune it in straight 4ths so my patterns transfer over all the way. Thats all

Yeah, I play guitar too. Like Xavier, I started on classical guitar. I still have two of those. One is a very nice 30-year-old Japanese guitar by someone who I think was trying to go after Kohno, and the other, my gigging nylon-string, is a Rawdon Hall, a very good mid-level guitar made in Germany for a guy in New York.

As for electric guitars, I've also got a Hamer Newport Pro, a Carvin Holdsworth Fatboy, and a Carvin-Warmoth-PRSoid (Warmoth PRS-style body, Carvin bolt-on neck, Wilkinson trem, Bill lawrence PUs). All of them are orange, though each is a somewhat different shade. What can I say, I like orange guitars.

If you can't see the headstock, they're the same guitar (depending on the year of course). That's a MIK Casino with Antiquity P-90s, CTS pots, Switchcraft switch, and .047 Sprague 716P "orange drops". Aside from the neck being a bit more narrow than I'd like, it plays as well as any real Casino or 330 I've played.

Since that picture was taken, I did replace the bridge with a Gibson TOM, which made it even mo betta.
