Show your Rack... mount!!!

21lbs of lightweight goodness

My Simple but effective current setup.

I love the max tube preamp ... took me a while to find one.

I put the power & wireless in a separate rack to make it easy when I have to use backline gear or my small combo amp.

PS: Why is this rack thread in the effects section?

ok disssa, gotta ask... what's the need for the trace when running thru the Sunn? it sounds killer and can cop most tones you want...
and the TC? while the compressor on the Sunn is simple, my God can you get some great compressor tones from it, especially when using the low and hi buttons.

Im not doggin ya, just curious.

I made this thread WAY before light class D amps were out. I'd imagine not many people are rocking heavy racks anymore & the BBE probably went quick. Maybe a few still using them but they are much more rare than in the past. About 10 years ago it was cool to have the biggest baddest rack, now its the smallest lightest rack!

My rack continues to stay like this...

i see so many people using bbe maximizers in this thread... are they really that great? either you like them or hate them is what i have got from reviews...? im interested in possibly buying one, but so many say they lack in mids and give a fake sort of sound.. but 1/3 of these racks in this thread have a bbe... help please:help:

I've played my rig with and without a BBE, and prefer it with.

Only you can decide if you like it. Buy one and try it out. Return it if it's not what you prefer.

^^Man! That's some sweet stuff up there!!!^^

Mines still pretty much the same.
Thanks, ccouch7!

Your rig's looking pretty killer, too. (Nice photography, as well.) Is that SansAmp an RBI or RPM?

this is pretty much perfect for what i need it for - no rack changes incoming! pedal changes... oh we all know what happens there don't we?
I've never used a pedal board, but I'm starting to think about it... I don't really want a larger rack.

Hmmm....

My Alembic/QSC rack:

It looks like I'll be moving it to a 8U rack, though; I'm going to add an overdrive unit.

:bassist:

If I was forced to choose one piece of gear, and one piece only, it would be the SF-2. It is a wonder. True, i dig my F1-X a lot, but there are likely half a dozen other pre's out there that can equal or surpass it. But the SF-2 is in a world all it's own. The best tone shaping tool I have ever used.

It really is an incredible unit, and there is nothing else like it... anywhere. It can do things that nothing else can.

For me, the pairing of the SF-2 with the F-1X is pure gold; bass-amp perfection.

as you can see from the photos, i don't even have mine on the ground when i play! the pedals are always-on (and i don't use the chorus live anyway) so it's just like having a two piece rack (hah), only a few more cords required with the bonus of being a lot lighter.

i am already finding the 6u to be heavy enough, i don't know if i could carry the 8u weekly up and down stairs!
