I'm gonna do a shoot out between the Mesa 400+, SVT, SVT-CL, SVP-CLw/SVT-300, and Trace V6 soon. For cabs I'm gonna use an NV610, SVT 810, and Trace 1084.

I just picked up the SVT today and I'm gonna bring it to a tech to go through it before I start comparing it to the others just so they're all up to snuff. I'm thinking of redoing the SVT and SVT cab in blue checker tolex like a B-15

I would leave it all ratty, that's got more vibe going for it than I think blue checker would. However, that red SVT-CL/610 is damn fine lookin'

The cab is very punchy and loud. It can easily handle the bottom produced by the Bongo EQ. The mids can really bark if I set them to. The highs are not as up front as some other cabs I've heard but they were a tad bit more money. Several people had said that this cab does not sound neo-ish and more like a traditional cab. I have not heard too many neo cabs, but I can definitely understand what they are getting at.

im with you on the non neo sounding bit, they do have more low end thud and less mid presence than other neos i have played through for sure
