Right now its a tie between the Trace V6 and the Thunderfunk. The DB359 is definately up there too
Well for small stuff I use it with the Berg HT210 which is 4ohms. It makes a pretty cool small rig. I'll use it with anything if I don't feel like lugging a big 'ol tube head. Lately though I've just been using the Thunderfunk with the NV425
demon: I used to play through an SVP-Pro into an SVT-300 many years ago. Simply awesome tone, and one heavy pig to boot! I bet the SVP-CL complements the 300 perfectly. Do you use it with the NV610? And what year is that B-15?!?!? Is that a re-issue or the real deal?
Yeah it's a really great set up but it sure is heavy. I'll run the NV610 and the NV215 with that set up. The B-15 is the reissue it's got EL34's in it IMHO they sound alot better then the 6L6's that were in it

Yeah I haven't swapped out the pre amp tubes in that yet. Yeah I'm diggin the SVP-CL + SVT-300 set up even if it does weigh around 90lbs. It sound better then the SVT-CL head, its clearer and has a better tone to it. The SVT-CL is a very nice head though I don't know why people dog it so much, I know it's not a vintage SVT and doesn't match up to it but it still is a nice head.
I hear ya. I played the SVT-CL through an 810E, and to my ears, it was solid. Pretty darned close to the vintage all things considered, though my vintage experience is limited, so I'm probably not the best to judge.demon666 said:

Here's a pic that may qualify as a rig o' doom (SVP-Pro+SVT-300+Marshall 2x15), so it's not too off-topic. This was snapped in an old "rehearsal space" (the drummer's bedroom, LOL):
Lighter than I thought, and loud as all hell. I even think it was 8 ohms, but I can't remember. For some reason, those speakers could reproduce full-range frequencies all by themselves. No need for 10's for punch, and not boomy at all. Though you could dial in the boom (and doom) if needed, it wasn't there on it's own (in a good way). That was 6-7 years ago, and they went to a good home. That cab (and my old ABM500) went to a friend of mine that's taking them across the country and back again. I'm not too sure if it'd be case of "don't build 'em like they used to" with the new Marshall gear, though.not a rig of doom, but it does me just fine. and it is known to piss the neighbors off every once and a while.
