Hey old man, this is my bed! Oh, well pardon me while I go back work to pay this rent.

Typical dachshund, cute as cute can be but dumb as hell. Im on my second one now, not much different than the first one. Not a brain between the two of them. I love these strange little buggers though. Here's Chef. He's spoiled and dumb. He sat stunned with the cookie bag on his head for 10 minutes. He would have died if I didn't rescue him.

Yeah I thought these wieners were designed for hunting as well,I put a wind up mouse on the floor and my dachshund runs away with his ears pinned back and tail between his legs. This is Hunter, but don't let his name fool you the only thing he's ever hunted is a warm blanket!

One had one that hates a push toy that was like an armadillo. The feet were rubber and flapped on the floor as the wheels turned. I would push it around the floor and he tried really hard to kill it. I put it in a closet and later found the dog had destroyed the bottom of the closet door, the molding around it, and the carpet trying to get in and kill 'Dilla.
I finally got him to stop by letting him watch me push 'Dilla out the front door. He never bothered with the closet again. He was sure he had run 'Dilla off and saved his family.
It looks as if he knows you are about to stand in front of that dreaded box that makes noise again so he gets on top to make eye contact with you so maybe you will change your mind and go for a walk.Beagle/Ampeg combo

I love your hound. She looks like she has a few years on her. We lost ours to osteosarcoma in 2000, and I still miss that dog - she was another light brindle like yours. The butter-pecan-fudge-swirl-faster-than-light dog.

Thanks yeah she's a character, just like my kids. She's getting close to 10 we've had her since 2 which she was lucky to be retired so early and not disposed of at the track...
She actually gave us a scare yesterday where she stumbled down the last half of the flight of stairs and noticed that her right rear leg is giving her problems. Doesn't look like she broke it but it's swollen. As you know these dogs are much more delicate ironically than most dogs and bruise super easy and can tear their skin pretty easy.
