Maybe it's just me but this thread is "Show YOUR spoiled dogs". That's what I come here to see - the dogs of fellow TB folks.
The random dog memes don't do it for me, and feel kind of spammy.
"The Ultimate Cat Thread" is a different premise, and exists for both memes and personal pics.
Just one person's opinion, I'll go back to my rocking chair now.

MY spoiled dog, Mia.
My wife made her a big, comfy dog bed with a built in bed heater, and I made several raised water bowl stands with her name on the front that we place around the property so she always has fresh water available. We buy fresh yellow and green squash that get sliced into fingerlings for her treats. She has her own collection of bandanas and a basket of rubber balls both in the house and on the patio. She's a 'talker' and a 'grinner' and thinks she's a lap dog. And even as spoiled as she is, she won't let anyone come onto the property without an invitation.

I don't have a dog right now, as I live in a no-pets building (something we will rectify next summer), but that's my issue and no one else's. I hope the stuff I post at least makes people smile, laugh, and appreciate dogs, but it's certainly not the same thing as posting one's own pups. The thread might get pretty quiet--the memes and such have sometimes been the only posts for several days at a time or even a week on occasion--but quantity isn't everything, of course.I'll leave it up to the group. I get what you're saying. IMO, I look at this thread because of the personal connection similar to threads like "Pictures of You" or "your favorite gig photo" so I'd rather not see random dog meme's. I can sit in my chair too if others disagree.
But if we define the personal connection are "grandpups" ok?

Two weeks ago we had to say goodbye to Macy, our bloodhound we got as a puppy. She was 11. Even right now I am fighting back the tears talking about it. It has wrecked me too. We live in a tiny home, so she was integral to everything we did every day. I still look for her every morning that I wake up, and at other times during the day. Like when I go outside I keep waiting for her to follow me out the door.

Ha Ha. Not a chance. @3.6 years he pounds the ground like greased lightning. Fetch is his favorite game.
So sorry to hear of your loss. Yes, it hurts and I know the feeling. You can never replace Macy as each pup has their own personality, but you can cherish the memories you had with her. My advice is sometime in the future, when you are ready, perhaps you can rescue a dog that needs your comfort and love. I think of it as opening a new chapter in a very good book. RIP Macy.

Both of these were taken before Sparky (the white poodle/jack russell) got his haircut. The normal schedule is every 8 weeks. This was 15 weeks, due to the move to France and finding and getting an appointment with a groomer here.
