RIP Molly
She was my friend through some rough times.
I did my best for her while she was sick.
There was a lot of personality and attitude in her, right up until the last couple of days. She lost her sight in 2019 and it barely slowed her down, but her recent heart and lung problems were more than she could handle.

So sorry for your loss. I know we all wish dogs could live longer.

Sorry for your loss, very hard to say goodbye to fur babies.

If last week someone told me I would be proudly posting in this thread, I would laugh at them. Well, here I am.

He was found on the street, abandoned, and rescued by my sister and her co-workers.

We brought him home last Tuesday. I never had a dog, although I always wanted one. Without notice, he showed up and is already part of the family. The kids love him, and he is very careful around them. My wife resisted for half a day, haha!

When I first saw the pictures of the dog, I didn't realised what he was. Someone told me it was a boxer, and I said "ok"! Then I found out it is a boxer - pitbull mix!

Me and my wife were very scared when we found this out. But we asked some friends that are veterinarians and read a lot about this mix, and now, after a week monitoring him and exposing him to other people, kids, and dogs, we noticed that he is a sweetheart.

I took him to the vet and he was neutered and given a transponder with my information (he didn't have one). Friday we begin obedience classes.

Thank you for giving Mogi the beautiful brindle American Pit Bull Terrier a good permanent home (don't really see Boxer in there).
Both breeds were created from the old German Bullenbeisser in their origin, but Boxers are much different than they were a century ago.
I have found all of my Pitbulls to be good safe family dogs, very affectionate. Typically terrible watchdogs, they were never bred to be suspicious of strangers.
I love all dogs and have had dogs since I was a little kid, but after adopting a Pitbull fifteen years ago they quickly became my favorite breed of dog.
Most of them get along well with other dogs, but some (not that many) tend to want to fight (as we all know).
They do all seem to enjoy a pretend scrap with a friend, but can overwhelm some dogs not used to rough play.
I've had one female (out of seven Pitbulls) that was picky about dog friends, she liked many boy dogs but would not tolerate other females.
When you own a brindle coated Pitbull, everyone will tell you it is mixed with whatever breed they have seen or owned that had a brindle coat.
The dog in my avatar picture (Loki) was a brindle Pitbull and people would like to tell me he was mixed with Boxer, Great Dane, Greyhound, Plotthound, Catahoula, Basenji, Dutch Shepherd, Mastiff.

Have fun with the obedience classes, I've found Pitties to be easy to train and very eager to please their humans.

My wife and I adopted 2 dogs in the summer of 2020. She's had dogs her whole life, but they were the firsts for me.

It's amazing how quickly they became a very significant part of my life. I'm such a dog dad now. It's terrible! (It's not terrible. It's awesome.)
