Show Your Spoiled Dog Pictures.

My Peanut. I rescued him from Tuba City on the Navajo reservation. He's 8 now, and LOVING France.

When my mom died in April, I 'inherited' her 8.5 yr old Great Dane. She has arthritis, trouble standing sometimes, and can't really do stairs at all. But she's a good dog, and has *really* enjoyed having dogs to actually play with. Yesterday, she discovered squirrels. My mom would be absolutely THRILLED to see this picture - I never would have guess this would have been possible!

Well, the time is drawing near for this old girl. Heart failure is taking its toll, and we're discussing helping her transition next week. This weekend it'll be burgers and chicken for her, and tons of love from the whole family. I want to make sure leaves this world feeling loved, and not suffering. I feel really good about the life we've given her here, but I wish it could've been longer.

It'll be hard to let her go, I know. But yes. You gave her love and all the good things that go with it. The best gifts to a wonderful pet! :)

I really hate this part of being a good dog owner, but doing the best for them is important.
Sounds like having a nice party for her is a great idea.
Thumbs up for you.

You're doing it right, and doing right by her. Danes are heartbreakers because they leave us so quickly. Much love from us to her and to you and your family.

So sorry, Jon. We told ourselves the same thing when we had to let Odie go: that we gave him a long, happy life, much longer than he would have otherwise had if we hadn't adopted him. Positive vibes sent!

Hang on and cherish each day. My Sadie is going that way and every time I see her legs slip or see her struggle to hold herself up it hurts. But every morning I thank her. 16 years last Valentine's Day so that's a good run.

We were up on Lake Superior for a week and just back Wednesday. Our daughters were up over the weekend with their puppies. It was Kayla's first time up on the big lake and despite the fact that Mya was in and out of the water, this was as close as Kayla would get.

At dinner time Mya was trying to reassure her that it was ok if she didn't go in the first day.
