So sorry for your loss. I know it's tough, but you gave him a good life, so take comfort in that.
Thanks for that. Unfortunately, over the last 15 years I've had to deal with the passing of many family members and friends - some elderly, and some not. So at least a little bit, I've been forced to learn how to deal with loss even though it never really is easy. But my wife actually said it was like losing a child, and she and my girls have never been through this before, so it's hit them pretty hard. But as time goes on, they're coping pretty well. Great memories of a great companion.

Sorry you had to deal with all of that. And yes, losing Odie in 2023 hit our son VERY hard as Odie was our first family pet and we'd had him since our son was eight years old. Very difficult for sure.
