In the '80s, I had a water bed and a standard poodle. When he was ready for me to get up in the morning, he would sit by the side of the bed and start rhythmically bopping the mattress with a front paw, getting it swishing back and forth. I'd wake up, but not make obvious eye contact. He'd just keep bopping, his face by mine, until I opened my eyes. Then he was all over the bed. Such a good boy. I loved him. He was a blue-gray, with 8 champions in his bloodline. Miss him dearly, I do.
Standard poodles are so smart. My aunt had one named Sam. One time during a party at her house, they did a conga line in the living room and Sam didn't want to miss out on the fun and joined in at the very end.In the '80s, I had a water bed and a standard poodle. Oh my gosh. So adorable. This was Mr Bear when my ex-girlfriend brought him home without telling me. I was really upset she made the decision without letting me know. I took one look at him, and that was it. He was with me for the next 19 years.

That's a good score. Looks like he might have his share of border collie genes. Probably no stranger to an idea or two. This was Mr Bear when my ex-girlfriend brought him home without telling me.
