Shure E5 IEM question

I had my first experience last weekend using the PSM200 with upgraded Shure E5 Ear Buds. I play a mid 90's Fender Jazz V Plus with Active Fender Lace Sensor pickups with a line out to our mixer thru a Markbass combo. I have noticed when I play from the low g all the way down to the low B, the sound thru the buds is distorted and not tight. Any ideas???? I have the input level on the transmitter set to where the signal is not in the red.

I have essentially the same setup. If the input indicator on the Shure is even in yellow it'll distort.

Thanks for the info. I will reduce the input level and see what happens
