FWIW, I used to have a Lakland Bob Glaub. Worth every penny.

Harry! You're sure taking a lot of heat on this thread -- why must the pioneers always face arrows! Stand strong, man! And take Bono's lyrics to heart...

They dropped Bob as an endorser a couple years ago.Interesting - are the Laklands still in production? Overlapping contracts, perhaps? I can't imagine the folks at Lakland are happy about this...
So Adam wasn't filthy rich before he got sig models? You've gotta be kidding me.Prestige? This a the guy from U2, you know. Prestige, earned or otherwise, is not something that they lack. Nah, this is all about the money, I'm quite sure. And hey - this is America! If you can make a buck selling a flavor of bass you like, then by all means! I'd do it in a dead heartbeat if anyone actually cared who I was!
Eh - same as it ever was. I like to have a little fun - and this has turned out to be a pretty fun thread (despite all the hostility!)
I'm kinda liking the suggestion to change your handle to SanDiegoHater![]()
I want a Christopher Walken signature .38 after seeing that pic.

LOL! If there's anything AC needs less than prestige, it's the pittance he's getting from Fender and Warwick.

I forgot one. If there's ever a bassist who has totally copped Joe Osborn's style, it's Tim Commerford.Yeah, they're all suckers and losers. Especially George Porter.![]()
If he gets to keep them, that's not a bad deal, depending on how famous he is. He can sell them with an autographed letter of authenticity and make a profit over what the regular sig model in a store would fetch. Imagine a Geddy Lee bass that he used with an autographed picture compared to the one you ordered from "Big Box Bass Co." online. Now multiply that by six or however many basses were included in the deal.
Pfffffftttt!!!!
And you've known me nearly 40 years - you know I like to rile the natives!
