Silk colors

Fender 7150 pure nickel rounds had gold silks. But they’d have to be an older set

Yes, "older" as in before 2010, when they were still made at Fender's own factory in Mexico.

@JPJ asked the question. Then when I asked a couple of pics to be posted, no response. I asked about the scale length because short scale GHS Boomers USED TO come with gold silk. Again, no response.

This is the best pic that I could find (not sure if it is larger enough to really see), but the silks are dark (aztec) gold and not the yellowish gold that you see more commonly. Also, these are 34" scale round wounds.

Thanks for your response.

One question... (something I can't tell in the pic) Does any of the full winding on the E string wrap around the tuner post? Or, is the winding length on the E shorter than the other three so only the silked part is on the post?

Howdy! I've just scrolled through this entire thread, and just thought I'd ask for a sanity-check on what I think these are. I'm pretty new to the instrument so please forgive me if I've missed any vital bits of info here, but hopefully one of you lovely lot will be able to help out :)

This is a 1994 model so I highly doubt these will be stock Warwick strings at this point.

please don't judge the grime, i only recently got her and need to give her a good cleaning still

They best resemble TheBandCircle's Shuker strings (#394, pg 20) and SolomonHelsing's Jay Turser strings (#187, pg 10) - the former of which HyperCarrots (#395, pg 20) helpfully pointed towards Bass Centre Elite strings. I had a look through their own product pictures and this guitar also reportedly uses elites - the shades of blue look a very close match.

I'm pretty sure based on the size of these, I've got 45-130 Standard Gauge Vs on there at the moment.

Does that seem right? Thanks in advance!

thank you Michael, too bad ... can you tell me if there is a type of strings that have the same tonal quality and tension of those ones ?
i am tempted to buy a new set of Dean Markley 2604A. s.steel. strings
but i don't want to be disappointed. thanks
