I like my strings with silk on both ends but with the current trend of string manufacturers doing away with silks, packaging and coloring the ball ends on their strings this thread my soon become irrelevant. Maybe someone should start a data base of colored ball ends.

This page has helped a good bit - but

The strings I got on a bass from a guy who claims there are Labella deep talking flats and I do not think they are.

There is no silk on the ball ends.

Here is a pic can anyone help me more, I love these strings.

They are Labella 760FX flatwound strings 39-96 gauge. Nice strings! Labella have no silk on ball end.
