cool thread, i ran across these songs on my playlist that had a "mezmo" effect on me.

Fleetwood Mac - Hypnotized
America - Horse with no name
Kings X - Mr. Wilson

and these r just a few. I love songs that have that effect. The basslines dont always have to be complex to achieve it.

So true man. One of my lines for a folk punk project is something that even the most novice among us could play while sleeping. Boom-badum-badum-baduum-dum stuff with rolled notes at the chord changes. I definitely get lost in it though. Easy to drift off.
