I'm single digit. I bought my #1 in 2017, and #4 in 2021. Then I got into building: I made my #5 and #6. Then I sold #2, so I now have five basses.

But my #1 has always remained my #1.

Bought my first bass in 1987 or 1988. Still have that, although it does noe get much playing time these days. Bought my second in 2018 (I think it was). still looking slowly for a number 3, and 4.

I've been playing since 1996 (so 26 years now...damn.) I currently own 5 basses, but I think I don't qualify because, unless my tally is off, I have owned a total of 10.

Yes, been playing bass since 1994, and I have owned 7 basses (Counting DB, BG, ABG and EUB). The 8th is actually a used fretless bass uke that is on the way to my office now.

I am part of the "why on earth did I sell my Cirrus?" club. I wouldn't mind giving my first bass (T-20) a go either. It never dawned on me that they're both Peaveys...

I started playing bass in '87. Admittedly there are periods of on-and-off in there, but over that time, I have owned a total of nine bases. Yep, a single-digit number!

So, how many of you can say the same? Who has owned fewer than ten bases in their lives so far? You have to say how long you've been playing too: it's far less impressive if you own nine bases, but you started playing only last week!

I've also been playing since around '87. By my count, I've bought 13 in total so I guess I blew it for the club LOL. I've never owned more than 5 at a time though (which is my current stable) and likely never will.

I have owned precisely three (3) basses in my entire life: a Squier Modified Short Scale Jaguar; which was sold a bit ago, a Sterling by Music Man Ray4; which I had to leave behind when I moved to Australia (and is currently waiting to be sold), and my current Spector Legend Standard 4; which I have modified with active EMG pups and that I love to bits.

8 in 50 plus years, most of those came and went in the 60’s and 70s.

Been playing bass about 20 years (seriously for 10 years), and I've owned a total of 7 basses, never more than 2 at a time. I think the longest I owned one was 8 years, the shortest I owned one was 24 hours.
