I'll pass. Never been a huge Macallan fan, got into an argument once over it, guy says it's the smoothest, that makes it the best. I go by the flavor yardstick, and I'd rather something that "fights back" a little more.
But too old anymore, it all gives me indigestion any more. Dumped probably a couple of gallons of fine old Scotch when tearing out my bar area a few months back. Only saved a couple of unopened bottles of Glenrothes.
How about the "demarara sugar bound into biscuits" part? …gotta try that
Yeah, it's a ridiculous description to go with the price. My favorite is when the taster can pick out the type of raisin.
only if my annual salary was 8 figures... but it's not... so alas, someone else will have to go for it. maybe elon musk... lol

Was at a mate's Xmas Party at the weekend and he opened this one. It was open before I enquired if he knew what he had there-. "I think it's a good one" was his retort! Bloody hell was this a good one! Smooth as silk but with a really nice caramel flavor.
This is still my crown jewel. This is not my actual bottle, but mine's identical. Just not full anymore.

Yep. I finished my first bottle (thanks again for the heads up!) and I still have one unopened bottle.

I've got a number of peaty malts, but this is my current open one and it's so so good.

what batch are you drinking? I finished a batch 12 a little while ago, and my next, when I open it, is 13.
