Single Malt Scotch!

It's a "young" scotch for my collection... only 10/11 years, but I must say, especially for its age, it's surprisingly smooth and flavorful. One of the best values on the market at $70/bottle... maybe even if it was well above that.

I'm supposing I've been drinking Singles for, maybe 12 years. Now it just so happens that my wife has just come back from an overseas trip with a couple of 'slabs' of UK Cadbury's Milk chocolate.

Now, I've just sat down to a very spiffy Bourbon finished Hazelburn 8 y.o (triple D) and happened to have had a couple of squares of 'said' chocolate and 'Wow!', how good was that?

Has anyone else tried (good!) chocolate and Single Malts? I'm blown away by how neat (no pun intended) it is. It's not often that you find something new, but tonight (at least for me) I have.

Now, I only need to find out what Malts taste better with 'said' chocolate and whether Plain or Milk, Highland or Island makes any difference!

(Weight gain of 10lbs here I come!)

Although I prefer dark chocolate with imperial stouts (beer), I still highly appreciate it with a good islay scotch.

For maximum mouthgasm, grab some fresh grapes and chill them. Adds a third taste to the choc/whisky mix which works really well.

The best thing to go with a single malt is tobacco, no doubt. For me it's cigars on occasion, but more often a pipe with a good English blend.

Actually, I've only had the one type so far. I think it's a 10 year?

I prefered the 10 to the quarter cask, but in my region, the quarter cask was moved in to replace the 10, so its mostly been quarter cask for me lately.

Thats just personal preference though, I enjoy the quarter cask too.

You might be the only one. The 10 is a nice malt, but the quarter cask is on another level in my book.
