All this mention of fine scotch's (which I am quite fond of), and NOTHING about its ultimate compliment.....
.....a Connecticut Shade wrapped Monte Cristo Double Corona???? (or similar tasty smoke with at least a 50 ring gauge)

Blends are pretty common here, but I can't recall anybody who knows about single malts. Not even know about the difference between whisky (Scotch) and Whiskey (American - Bourbon) which I know is a very popular drink in the states (specially the Jack Daniels). In fact, most of the most famous cases of alcoholism (Van Halen comes to mind) are related to Bourbon. Thank you again!
I don't ruin the flavor of my fine scotches with cigar smoke. Don't care if others do, I just don't choose to.

Here's a good metaphor, Alvaro: blends are like an Ibanez starter bass and single-malts are Fender Custom Shop or Rickenbacker.
