Absolutely for a P-type instrument but I would argue for a J-type as well. We can't all be Jaco! I use it a lot on PJs
Okay, it's obvious that we need to get back on topic. Just too much levity!
So for everyone's benefit, I will clarify how I influenced Marcus Miller. It was mid 1994, and I was in one of the higher floors of the Empire State building. I was about to head back down, and was standing near the stairwell entrance when someone handed me a 6 string bass and asked me to hold it while they took their coat off... and guess who it was???
Some random person that accidentally hit me with their arm, while taking their coat off.
I flew backwards down the stairs with the bass. Landing after landing. I had most of my fingers, and all of my toes engaged with trying to grab hold, and it seems they were wiggling crazily with fear as that bass bounced around trying to kill me. Aaaaaaaallllll the way down you could hear it, landing after landing! And on the way down, I happened to pass Marcus Miller coming up the stairs ....
And THAT'S how he was able to release this just 8 months later.
So yeah .... I'm obviously better than he is, because I also became tangled with a cat around the 59th floor, yet still was able to play so well.

Well, it's been a good ride here on talkbass, but I see the messages that MFA is coming and since I post a lot from my mobile phone, I'm not willing to put up with the hassle of MFA.

I sure hope not. It's intolerable to log into work systems from away from the network. I basically just don't bother.
MFA is coming because several accounts were hacked people have been ripped off in the classifieds via fake sales via hacked accounts. It's the easiest way for Talk Bass to secure the site, they could also force password changes every 60 or 90 days. It's not really a hassle no different than logging into a corporate VPN.
If I'm logging into something on my phone, I already have the phone in my hand, and at least on an iPhone (don't have Android to test this), it automatically suggests the code from the text message and even deletes the message for me, so using MFA is really no big deal, and most sites leave you logged in for weeks or months at a time. MFA is a slight hassle from my computer, and barely a speedbump on my phone.
TB and a few other places are basically the only things left out there that *don't* use MFA at this point. (We can ignore the issues around MFA caused by things like SIM swapping for a moment). If I stopped using all of the stuff that needed it, the Internet would basically be dead to me.

I'm on many forums, none of them enforce MFA.
I still it should be optional.
The users getting hacked likely had poorly chosen weak passwords.
All of my passwds are 16 characters, mixed case letters, numbers, and symbols, and do not contain any dictionary words. So, no pass-phrases.
This means all of my passwords were generated by password manager.
Well, I am secure. I chose "password" for my password! Tricky huh??? Nobody will ever guess that!!!
The more difficult computers/internet become to use, the less I will use them. Makes for more time reading analog (paper) books and playing the instruments
