Anybody order one recently? If so, how long did it take to get?

Just last month, I ordered mine through Reverb.com by way of the store Pitbull Audio. If I remember correctly, it either reached me right on time or possibly a day early. It needed some mild adjustments...intonation, mainly...but nothing I can't handle on my own.

I'm going to be pulling the trigger on a V3 in the near future but some comments in this thread made it sound like there's a wait time before it'll actually show up. Anybody order one recently? If so, how long did it take to get?

What's in stock varies, so keep checking the site, if what you want is in stock, go ahead and order, they'll ship pretty much immediately. Wait times are normally only for out of stock items (varies) or custom orders (fretless, lefties).

He told me he reduced the pickups output by adjusting something inside the bass electronic.
Where can I find infos about that?
Any of you know or could send me picture of this part of the electronic, please.

Probably the trim-pot, ask your friend if it was somthing like this:

The trim pot is the blue cubic thing on the PCB behind the active-passive switch.

Thank you for your answer. I will ask him. He's got an M7, do you think it's the same as this one in the picture? It seems to be from a v7, no?

It's the same preamp, so I don't expect it to be that different.
This trim-pot is used to level to active and passive volume, so you won't get a volume boost/drop when switching between the modes.

Ok, I understand, thank you very much. This is a great help, as I will be able to try the bass in good condition.

So, Thomann has offered to send me a replacement tuner, which I have accepted. It's much easier to change it myself, rather than having to send the bass back and forth between here (Denmark) and Thomann in Germany.

Sire's website indicates that the 2nd Gen V7 has a satin finish on the neck, but the V7 Vintage has a gloss finish.

Does anyone know if this is accurate?

This may have already been answered but you are correct. V7 Vintage 2nd gen has the gloss, whereas the non-vintage V7 has a the satin.

A page or two ago, others in this thread measured them at 35" if I read it right. The Sire web site has *always* been... not quite right... about a few of those 5 string scale lengths.
