It occurs to me that with all the guitars I own, I still don't have anything really covering the LP 6er space. (Closest I come is my Eastwood Moderne clone.) I do like that blueburst for sure.

Pat de Jonge, a Belgium guitarist, rated the L7 quite positive, however according to his YT comments, after a while he seemed to somewhat dislike the different (more modern) character compared to an original Gibson or Epiphone LP. In my limited understanding, Sire really adapted the sound to Larry Carlton's preferences, so these models may not sound all to "similar" to the classic models. — As stated, this is guesswork on my part, as I've never owned a Gibson myself...

I think there are mass delays across the board. I ordered a P5 in February with a mid-summer shipping projection. Now it is November officially, but they are suspiciously quiet about it, so I`m guessing I won`t see the bass this year.
Yeah, nothing's "back to normal", the pandemic is still raging here and there, and now the world's alternately burning or flooding.

Just added a V10 5 in sunburst to the herd. As I already own a V7 5 I was always hesitating whether a V10 might be worth spending the extra money. Since last week I know: yes, it is.
Let's start with the points where both are practically the same. The electronics seem to be the same in both cases, as well as the bridge and the tuning machines. The pickups, on the other hand, sound a bit more direct and open on the V10. The biggest difference I see is in the neck. The V10 neck profile is considerably flatter and - at least for me - much more pleasant to play. I guess the flatter and thinner profile is made possible due to the two added carbon fibre rods in the V10 neck. The V10 has a matte finish compared to the V7, which is not as easy to stick to and makes slides a lot easier. The V10 also has the rounded edges (my V7 is still Gen 1). In addition, of course, the optical qualities of the woods used in the V10. And last but not least, the V10 weighs a good kilo less.
However. I don't want to say the V7 is a bad bass. It also costs less than half of the V10. But the V10 is the better one and an improvement in many aspects and worth the extra money, at least for me.

They now also offer the V5 in Vintage White and the new Tele-style T7 models and single coil-only S7 Vintage models and the L7/H7 in white resp. black with golden hardware... Nice!

Yep, it was listed as early as February, but the "3 months or longer" sign has not changed since. The November 1st. deadline they wrote me is within the 3 months now, so I don`t really have any faith that it arrives by then.
OK, well, MF order was cancelled because while browsing CME, they had one in stock! So I bought that instead! Here she is:
