That's certainly what Sire is hoping! Not for shortage reasons, but for demand.
One reason I rarely go used: the truss rod. Always worried someone got rough with the truss-rod, and/or partially stripped the nut. Might be hard to visually check.
My understanding is the Sires use a dual-action rod with the hex-nut welded-on, so it cannot be replaced...
...but I could be wrong.
Of the Sires I've owned, I only bought 1 used, and that was a local deal,
the the first question I ask about any used bass I'm looking to buy is if the truss rod works as it should.
I got two used: a V7 from a good friend, and a V3 from a guitar tech. Neither seemed risky, and the truss rods did indeed work perfectly.
Sire announced that prices for several swamp ash models would increase in August, so that seems somewhat expected... I guess it's at least partially due to the risen price of the wood itself based on its threatened natural source. (I don't know if that's also the reason new models like the V5/D5/P5 or the Fender-style guitars are only available in alder...?)
Apologies if this has already been mentioned but I could see it….I'm hugely disappointed that the updated V7s now have a 9.5" fretboard radius. The new necks feel thicker to me - slightly altered profile. I think the 7.25" neck from the original V7 2nd gen was perfect but they are no longer available and all of the new updated ones have different necks : ( the new modern S bridges are a massive improvement though. So much so I've managed to order one to fit on my V7.

Maybe 9.5" is better for some styles? Maybe slap?
Seems like a lot of necks have a large radius these days.
AFAIK, all the 1st gen V7 have that 7. 25 neck radius, and the 2nd gen V7 Vintage still have it, whereas 2nd gen regular V7 have 9.5 (and bigger frets). So a V7 Vintage may fit your needs...
Doesn't the V7 vintage have a gloss neck though? I'm in love with silky smooth satin finish on my V7, it's smoother than baby skin! I've never been a massive fan of a gloss neck even though I'm awaiting delivery of the Duff signature bass which has one so I'm going to try one out again! That might change my mind.

Yes, the 2nd gen V7 Vintage still has the same glossy neck finish as all 1st gen V7 models.

M5 IMO is the best value for what you get in terms of the M series. You get everything but the veneered top and headstock as the M7, arguably better electronics and hardware than the M2 with the price right in between the 2.
