Went up... yaaa manYeah prices went up again not long back...
M
M5 IMO is the best value for what you get in terms of the M series. You get everything but the veneered top and headstock as the M7, arguably better electronics and hardware than the M2 with the price right in between the 2.
Can I play, or is the M5 the red hair bastard child of the MM line?
Don't see mention of the M5?? Yet, will keep looking...or maybe have to start a M5 Club
HELL yes the M5 is in the club! Glad to have you!
No, the M3 is that child. Can I play, or is the M5 the red hair bastard child of the MM line?

Yes !!! You and I both, brother. SIRE and US Peavey Clubs ! You have great taste !A few weeks ago I picked up a used 2nd generation V9. So freaking awesome! I guess that makes me a member. Got a great price on it on the GC used site. It's absolutely pristine….not a mark on it. Anyways…..where can I get a clear pick guard? I know they come with them new. Any of you guys have one you aren't using that you'd be willing to part with?

Thanks but dang $75??? I wish Sire offered it on their site. My best luck will probably getting one from an owner who has no intention of mounting theirs as it comes free with the bass new regardless.
Thank you, I'd have never thought of that. Just sent them an e-mail, here's hoping they can accomodate, despite the fact I won't be buying from them.
Did you manage to get ballpark weights for the Sire lineup?
Thanks!!
My P5 and D5 arrived today! Unboxing vid will drop this upcoming Wednesday for both of em. I haven't opened the box yet, no idea what colors I'm going to get. Just excited and thankful!
Love your reviews: you "tell it like it is".
Just wished you had a Yamaha TRBX304 review. I ended-up buying one, and am quite happy, but really missed not seeing a review from you.
WOW !!! So Sire now makes passive P basses both 50's and 60's style ! COOL !!! I can only imagine how good they feel. Dare I ask or say that the red one would be on par with a boutique P ? I mean if they have the SIRE DNA in them, then logic would dictate that assumption ? Yeah, I know the saying ... Assume...Thank you! I definitely want to check out more Yamaha stuff.
BTW just wrapped up my unboxing. I got 3 boxes from Sire (one bass was for my compadre Dale), I was lucky enough to unbox the two correct basses and not Dale's! (they weren't labeled)
Anyhow, here's pics! Video will drop on Wednesday
