I will say this, tonight is the first night I have played my M5 since I had the dots painted. There is a huge difference. Nail polish is typically shiny. The white dots seem to sparkle in the light. I think this is going to work very well.

@Rod Barchetta how are the nail polish side dots holding up? Looks like about a month since the first gig. Did you say she put a clear coat over them too? And are they white white, or some kind of sparkle?

I figured so seeing where you live....you have far more will power than I have. :bassist:
I also ordered a Hartke HD50 and a bunch of other stuff I would need. Ordered a folding stool that also holds the bass, a music stand, a Peterson strobe tuner. All in all, there were 6 boxes delivered by FedEx yesterday. It did drive me a little crazy not to rip open the box but I had other's to open and inventory. Being my age, I have learned patience.

Awesome...it looks like you're going to learn to do setups (If you don't already know how). I have saved myself so much money learning how to do it myself. A very good friend of mine who is an amazing luthier taught me how to do setups and fret work. I'm glad too because I am very picky about how my guitars are set up. It's a double edged sword though...word got out that I know how to do this but I don't really like doing someone else's guitars. I will only do it for very good friends.

I have three Sires and all of them, the nuts were too high for me. Lowering them made them so much easier to play.

BTW, your cat dish is empty :roflmao:

I have seen every bass video that Dave from YT (Dave's World Of Fun Stuff) has posted. I think I can handle it. I feel that if I can do the setup myself, it would save me time, money and knowing that I set it up the way I want it.

I am a HUGE fan of the P7, the most perfect bass. Mine is also ash and I had no idea how much I'd love ash. It's now my favorite body wood. Yours is GORGEOUS. I love the color. I'm so happy for you. You will love it more each day, unlike some other basses when the first day is the highlight and then it's just boring.
Congratulations @thejazzman .

Your bass is ... PERFECT.

Dave is really good...I've chatted with him on line a couple of times. He knows my friend that taught me.

Thanks! It didn't take long after I seen it that it was the one I wanted. The other's just didn't catch my eye like this one did.

Hello all you Sire Aficionado's! I am looking for some assistance. I have an Ash/Maple P7 that I just got and I was thinking that all Black hardware would look Sharp on my new bass. I would like to change the chrome hardware on my P7 to Black hardware. If anybody knows where I would be able to get a Black string tree, Black Tuners and a Black bridge, (direct replacement), I don't want to do any drilling on my bass, I would be very grateful. I have been looking on the web and I see some pic's but no info where to get them. I have also spent time looking online at a bunch of guitar store's and part stores with no luck. Either I am looking in the wrong place or I just don't know where to look. Any help would be gratefully appreciated

@thejazzman this specific topic takes up a lot of real estate on this forum. LowEndLobster had done some bridge mods, with drilling, and some drop in too. The drop in bridge is from Albridge (yes, I said THE) and comes in black or chrome, they both have brass saddles. I don't feel like it's necessarily better than the 'modern s-bridge'
on there now , but you do get to feel like you spent $120 after you buy one. That's pretty good.
