Right after I taped up the front of the neck to do the tung oil sealing on its back, my friend sent me the updated logo. Of course.
Anyway, tung oil! I love tung oiled necks, and put the first coat down this morning. Here are some macro shots showing details of the first coat. I'm going to let that dry and cure overnight and do a second coat in the morning. I can't remember how many coats I did on my practice bass last fall, but I think three or four will do it.
I'm confirmed with my wife's uncle to do the routing for the battery box on Sunday. He wanted to know if there was a recommended routing bit size to use with the MDF template I got from BBG for it. Any suggestions, please?
