78a durometer.
I can go about 35kmh just kick pushing on flat.
Tested the speed with a construction site radar.

Completely shredded a wheel on a manhole cover in a hill. I gave up on oj soft wheels after destroying 3 sets.
Size of the indies you have there??

Damn, that's bad luck. Did you do a ton of sliding on them? Or were they just prone to disassembly?
The ones I just picked up are something of a known quantity for me as they're 85mm 77a versions of my current go-to 80mm 80a wheels that I've been using the past few years. Same exact core and everything - should just be a little bigger, and a little more plush.
I think one set might have been "defective" cuz the wheel exploded.
The 2 others I kinda think I went too hard on them. Anyways....no more of those for me.
And I also completely shredded a set of kryptonics last year. Avoid those , absolute garbage wheels. I almost slammed into the sidewalk that time. Got lucky and was able to jump and run/fall without damage to my old self.
This was the last set of oj's.
Now banned for ever for me. If you look closely you can see the crack across the entire wheel.

Damn, I don't blame you. You have to have faith in your kit. That thing still looks relatively fresh for such a chunk to come out!
The kryptonics. It also cracked on the entire length of the wheel......i busted 4 sets that summer.
My last board in the 80s was a Powell Caballero. Sold it as a complete board (with Indy trucks, Bones wheels) on eBay years ago... did pretty well.
Now, I longboard. I had a couple of top-mounted decks... now riding a drop-thru and really dig it. I miss the kicktail I had on my top-mounted boards, but the low center-of-gravity with the drop-thru is hard to beat.

...double drops.Say what you will about how un-hip they are (I'm not in the business of being hip anymore), but they are undeniably functional, especially when it comes to efficiency - which is why they're so favored in the LDP community.
I get it though, just like with basses, personal aesthetic preferences matter. While hate is a strong word, I too never could get behind the huge pintail boats, but then again, my formative years were spent bombing the hills of Pittsburgh on popsicle boards, and not surfing.
I've never run 80mm... but had some Orangatang In Heats (75mm) a few years ago and they were nice. I had them in their medium durometer (purple). If I could go back, I'd get the hards (yellow).

I've seen people do it, but for me the board is too heavy to ollie. Years ago when I picked up the deck I thought I might have a ton of use for the kick, but in reality, I pretty much just use it to kick the board up, or for a rare kickturn (but it's a little unwieldy for that too if I'm honest).
Yup, those are the same Happy Thane as the big Caguamas I just picked up and the Kegels I have in the picture above. I like the formulation a whole lot as you could probably guess. Hards seem so... hard though!

Cool, man! Yeah, this is my first outing with the Arsenals... I like 'em. I beefed up my bushings as I'm a big guy... but the trucks are great... strong... stable... powder-coated.
It appears we share a similar taste in trucks as well.
I'm a big Paris fan as well, and I like them both for different reasons, but yeah the Arsenals have a great feel to them with the tall barrel bushings. They carve beautifully with a ton of lean, but they still have a good natural center. I have mine set up with Riptide Krank tall barrels with a machine cupped washer on each to firm things up a little and to completely bite-proof my setup with the 80mm Kegels.
Man, we have our boards set up veeeerrrry similarly! 
Yeah, I've got double-barrel Venoms in mine... 93/90 in the front and 95/93 in the back. It's stiff, but I'm over 200 pounds so I can squeeze 'em.
I had Paris trucks on my previous longboard... had Gullwings before that. I like the Arsenals most... I'd rank Paris second... Gullwings third.

Muir Skate in San Diego is a great seller for all things skateboard... however, I just checked their site and didn't see any 52mm wheels. I'll keep looking around.
