SKYRIM!!!!!

Went into this big ruin yesterday. First a Dwarven ruin. It was a big ruin. The end of that ruin was an entrance to a new ruin (no way out but back, and when you play this game we all know you have to know what's at the end). This ruin was easier than the previous as it was mostly Falmer there, not these fire-resistant gyro metal machine spider-thingies. This was also a quite sizeable ruin, generally too bad-ass for a poor level 9 destruction mage.

At the end of said ruin-in-a-ruin was a big dwarven-style sentinel-kinda metal monster, which it took seriously 10 minutes of firethrowing to beat (his ice-blast one-shot me), because of manaregn being so slow and melee was not an option.

Well, he died, and I gained access to some sort of antechamber. To which I lacked an item to start some sort of dwarven apparatus to gain entry to something. Pissed, I went to a wiki site. Of course I needed some quest item to start the thing! Turns out the two previous ruins where just the entrance to a third and bigger ruin city.

So I went out to Skyrim via an elevator, and got out at the top of a mountain. The kicker? You can't access the elevator unless you go through the two ruins again. So if I want to get down there again, I'll have to pass through both ruins instead of being able to use the shortcut.

And sup with my horse? It wandered off or something when I went into the ruin and obviously wasn't with me where I came out as it is inaccessible. So I went down where I thought it would be standing to no avail. How do I get my horse back? :( It wasn't there when I fast-traveled to a city either :(

I think if you fast travel to wherever the stables are that you bought the horse, you should find it there. But I don't really mess with horses, so I can't say for certain. I've learned the annoying way that if your companion is set to the mode where you can give him orders, he'll stand there like an idiot, even if you fast travel elsewhere. One of them got stuck in the cave for the Graybeard quest that I talked about in a previous post. I went through the rest of the quest without him (I forget his name, its a Nord you find in the village at the foot of the mountain that leads to the Graybeards), and then I walked out and saw he wasn't following me. I ended up having to use a shout to knock him off some ledges that he was too dumb to jump off of.

Anyway, are you saying that this triple ruin thing is for a quest you didn't start? I've yet to see any Dwarven ruins, but I don't do as much exploring as I should. I did find an ice cave full of Necromancers though.

I bought this the day it came out... made a character and played a little but didn't get sucked in. My wife played a bit then made her own character and got engrossed. She'd play a lot while I was at band practice, at my friend's house brewing beer, etc.

Well, I started playing again on Black Friday because playing Skyrim all day at home is safer than going to a store or mall. Played until 4:30 AM Satuday. Played Saturday night until 5 AM Sunday. Played Sunday night until 1 AM this morning. Now I have to go to work on very little sleep. I'm hopelessly addicted. It drew me in and won't let go just like Dragon Age: Origins.

The horse should return if you fast travel to a town. I had one on my first play through but didn't buy one the second time because if you have a follower it's pointless. They can't ride and you have to slow down for them. One thing that shocked me, was fast traveling to a main city, horse tagged along even though I was on foot, and a Dragon was torching the place. My horse lost it's mind and started attacking the damned thing, got himself killed and was a smoldering pile of wasted gold.... that totally made me laugh ;)

Got ****ed up by a vampire in one game, so I started a new character. Sucks since I had gotten pretty far in the game/spent a lot of time on it, but now I'm almost as far and it took half the time. Changed my approach on a lot of things too, and stuff is waaaaaay easier now.

Why did you start a new character? As far as I know, you can heal yourself after a vampire attack. Even after becoming a Stage one vampire.

Anyone here become a werewolf? I'm in the companions and giving it serious thought.

Yeah its pretty cool once in a while. It has pros and cons. Pros - you run really fast and the hacking and slashing is about as awesome as it gets. Especially with the occasional kill close up. Cons - no inventory while you are a wolf and magic will bring you down pretty quick. Its best used in close quarters on melee attackers.

They just released an update for PS3 and soon for 360/PC(fixing the bugs) and I'm really considering getting it!

I have a PS3, is it worth getting? :)

Yeah. I play it on PC and a friend of mine has it on PS3. The loading times takes a bit (just a few seconds) longer than on PC - depending on the PC you have. But I'd only recommend this game if you have enough spare time to spent because THIS GAME IS ADDICTING :help:

* yawn * Yeah it is .... 6 hours of sleep a night since I started plying it.

Getting heavy armor to the point it weighs nothing is EPIC! ( I refuse to use the cheats out there for this game to increase carry capacity, or, well, anything really. Why ruin a superb game like that? )
At 29 with my weapons at epic level of crafting and my armor too, I can roll up behind a giant with my trusty Warhammer and one shot him. If I get a crit hit his giant head pops off :) Payback for when I was just a noob biznatch !!
