Slightly diminish a band

There used to be an excellent blues harp player, Paul deLay, doing West Coast gigs with the Paul deLay band. Sadly, Paul had problems with the drink and the cocoa powder and wound up in the klink. His band kept going during his absence as the No deLay band. They got back together for a while after his release, but eventually the devil took his soul.

I remember that band. They were out of Portland, Oregon, and played a place called The CandleLight club.
