Small Jam - Assorted Egos: What I learned last night.

Sigh. Male dominance ritual, often a symptom of insecurity. Sort of like small dogs who bark ferociously, hoping you'll think they're bigger than they actually are.

Just keep on keepin' on, soon you'll be gigging in a band and he'll still be annoying people at jams.
Absolutely. I've run into disrespectful jerks like this before too. They are not worth the time of day. Keep doing what you're doing. You'll be just fine.

would stop singing or stop his lead then proceed play the bass lines on his guitar that he felt you should be playing.
A little different situation, I auditioned for my church. I did not do so well. The WL wants the bass part played EXACTLY as the original. I do keep it close to the original. Sorry, Ol' Big-daddy dont always play exactly like the original. I do play the correct notes but sometimes I minimize the bass lines to keep from missing a note or riff or add a little extra. If I am not telling you how to play, dont tell me how to play. I KNOW when I miss a note, I dont shout out "wrong note" when you miss one,,,
