Psycho drummer boy requested that we play since I've been loving you last night at our jam. We all laughed at him and counted off a shuffle.

That's right up there with saying Van Halen's "Ice Cream Man" is a blues tune.

Absolutely. I've run into disrespectful jerks like this before too. They are not worth the time of day. Keep doing what you're doing. You'll be just fine.

I must say that I do enjoy having a jam leader who would stop a guy from doing since I've been loving you, if the other players didn't know the song. It makes no sense at all for 1 guy to be playing the song and having 3 or 4 other guys on stage grassing for it.. We just really try not to do that here

would stop singing or stop his lead then proceed play the bass lines on his guitar that he felt you should be playing.

A little different situation, I auditioned for my church. I did not do so well. The WL wants the bass part played EXACTLY as the original. I do keep it close to the original. Sorry, Ol' Big-daddy dont always play exactly like the original. I do play the correct notes but sometimes I minimize the bass lines to keep from missing a note or riff or add a little extra. If I am not telling you how to play, dont tell me how to play. I KNOW when I miss a note, I dont shout out "wrong note" when you miss one,,,
