I have never been drunk or stoned in my whole life so I can't speak from experience, however I think smoking pot is a losing proposition on all fronts.
That makes just as much sense as saying you've never ridden a bicycle but think that it's a losing proposition too. Opinions with no intellect attached are never short of determinations based on imagination.I have never been drunk or stoned in my whole life so I can't speak from experience, however I think smoking pot is a losing proposition on all fronts.
There is ZERO medical or scientific evidence linking smoking weed and strokes. That statement sounds ridiculous. You had a friend who happened to be a pot head that suffered a stroke.:scowl:
If it's a joke then cool, but it sure reeks of snobbery to me.![]()

Fixed.I have zero experience with this thing, or anything even kind of like it, but I think it is bad based on nothing at all.
'blame it on the al-al-al-i-alcohol blame it on the...."
Love weed heads who give there conspiracy theory on the subject.
Bottom line, any behavior left unchecked, can result in negative effects....even if he was taking 4,000 mg of Vitamin C a day.
Here's the truth, he would find any excuse to use and not be productive. Doesn't matter where he lives, job, what you guys bought him.
He doesn't care. Until you realize that, you'll be babysitting.
LoL! I'm not a drinker, but I have many friends who do and many of them are of the mind that there is no bad beer, as long as they're allowed to have one. One in particular loves expensive beers, but insists that the only bad beer is an empty one.Beer snobbery is big business around TB. Im inclined to agree, though, I only drink Budweiser or beer of that ilk if its coming to me free of charge, much in the same way that I dont smoke stress.
Objectively speaking, it can't be a crap beer if it makes people happy. Kind of a live-and-let-live thought process there. I don't think much of condemning other peoples tastes. It's a bit of both. It is a crap beer though... objectively speaking.
I know some cancer patients who'd take issue with such a statement.

Nice post, other than the potentially thread derailing political jab.
Some of the most brilliant music you'll hear has been written and recorded under the influence of weed. That said, not everyone can handle weed. I know people who actually get smarter and more focussed after smoking. I also know people who turn into drooling idiots. One guy actually goes blind when he smokes, no joke. Sounds like your friend is of the latter type, plus he seems to have a host of other issues.
Yeah, I'm sure the brilliant music wasn't a product of the composer/musician's actual talent and was all due to the psychoactive drugs they took. Their personality only comes into the equation if they don't become more intelligent with pot - they must not be a weed person, if that's the case.

Biggest load of BS I've ever read in my life. Potheads who try to defend their addiction by citing all the great artists who smoked pot make me sick. And to the OP: if I were in your shoes, I wouldn't even have started a TB thread. The guy would be out of the band by now. If someone doesn't make the cut, get rid of them or you're wasting time. This individual chose his path, so he has to deal with the consequences of his actions.
