It must be a bit neck heavy with all that gold in the fingerboard.
Are the strings made of adamantium, so that you never break one?

I trully Respect Jens and his basses and my Custom Roya is the proof.
This bass IMHO is a piece of art (first of all) and a bass too. Either view is subjective and both are respected.
For sure, diamonds or gold would not add to the "playability" or "sound" department. I have to add that in last decade, Odyssey bass brand (Greek bass luthier Ioannides) used to offer his top of the range model with gold and silver plating. I have no follow up neither on the behaviour of the plating after gigging nor on the effect of the plating on the sound (my Odyssey's were one step lower than the gold plating)

3. The jack is angled down and back. Nothing that would dig into you, unless you position the very back end of the bass right at your midsection
4. What's wrong with a bolt-on? I for one generally prefer the tone of bolt on basses, and Jens has a great philosophy with the design of his bolt on necks

(PS... his bolt ons sound better and sustain longer than ALL my neck-thru's

I'd also like to say that many (most?) of the most prestigious painters we know today, were either not well known or completely unappreciated in their time. It was only well after their death that their work and names became as valuable and sought after as they are today.
Just because Jens Ritter isn't a household name now, doesn't make his work any less amazing.
And BTW: If someone would like to concisely define what "Art" is. Then go for it, and good luck
And I'm completely intrigued by his one-piece basses. That black Concept Roya has been one of my dream basses ever since I first saw it

Money comes and goes anyways, it's gonna be around forever. Ritter basses are unique. People regularly spend way more than that on a car. Personally, I'd rather have that bass and just drive my old Honda that I got for free

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW....... Ritter royals? Like his standard basses weren't exensive enough. He should put a link to that site on his normal site. Wow, crazy stuff. I love those basses. sorry about the whole pissed of thing i just wasn't n such a good mood at that time. What i meant to say was if something does happen like tripping than some damage might happen. I remember one time i was climbing up stairs and i tripped on something so i fell and my bass fell and i found a nice chip on the body. If you don't go bumping around in things (which most people don't do with gig bags) than your fine but you're always risking the inetivable like slipping or tripping on something that you didn't see. I wasn't implying anything about how when people gig how they have close calls or not but it's pretty common knowledge that if you drop a bass in a hardshell it's safer than a gigbag otherwise everybody wouldn't be buying hardshells. Another factor is your means of transportation. If your taking a car or a van to get to your gig then it makes more sense to use a gig bag for an expensive bass but if your taking a bus with 45 people in it your kind of playing with fire there. When i was on a heavily packed bus to get home nobody had any respect that i had an instrument, they still pushed their way through and complained that i should get my bass out of the way which is pretty hard since i'm already carrying another bag with me.

In most cases neck thru is better than bolt on when construction and attention to detail are of low to mediocre quality. Ritters are built on a much higher plane of excellence. Once youve played a Ritter I think you'll be pretty blown away. Though its not my main axe (my Sadowsky occupies that spot) its definately going to be apart of my lifelong arsenal. Check 1 out 1st opt you get.
