So Burger King is racist now too?

This is a stretch. Perhaps Madame Noire is the racist for suggesting that a woman of color can't sing about chicken.

Madame nutty is trying to manufacture racial overtones and strife where there are none. I'm encouraged to see that there are people who will call madam nutty on it. But I wouldn't be surprised to see the usual "spokespeople" pop up, crusading to correct this "terrible injustice".
We have enough legitimate problems without someone trying to create new ones out of nothing.
I've got a ham and cheese sandwich for lunch. I might just burst into song about it. I like them and I hope it doesn't offend anyone.
I don't know about racist but I always had him pegged a some sort of pedophile.

It's a blog for black women written by black women. It's not like they are organizing some great effort against BK. The essay is just criticizing what the author felt was a tacky commercial with racial overtones.
Personally, I think that whether or not a person is projecting a stereotyped image is something that I feel is an individual choice. As for myself, I will not do anything that I think is demeaning, but I cannot worry about how I am perceived by every non-black person I meet. My experience tells me that those who stereotype tend to do it on the tiniest thing, or even nothing if that is what they are inclined to do. Because of that fact, it is pointless to worry about it too much about how others see me.

I mean...it's obvious what BK is trying to do; they're reaching out to the "black" demographic. And market research says black folk love their chicken, and their R&B divas

Madison Avenue is pretty much equal opportunity when it comes to insulting people's intelligence, regardless of race, color, creed, or national origin. They can make anyone or any group look really really stupid.
I doubt that they held Mary J. down and forced her to take the check for doing the commercial against her will.

The bottom line is that the folks at Madamenoire really aren't talking to you, and they aren't really talking to me either. Since this is not designed to be some sort of rally against "the man," it isn't worth your time, IMO.
