Ben I do know the feeling, trust me. I hope that everything really does work out for the best here, it seems like it will!

I've got a dilemma facing me in the next few months that will be similar to yours. No details now, but I may have to make a difficult decision about employment soon as well. I don't look forward to the event, should I need to make this decision, which seems likely.

Darn you Ben and all your job changing ways. :D I've been stuck at the same job for 13 years. I want to go into business for myself. I want to chase my dream.
I think I will start my own mattress testing service. Basically I will go to a customers house and sleep on their bed and give them a report on the condition of their sleep system. Then I can recomend them a mattress. I could even get kick backs from Sealy or something.

OK that's just crazy talk.

Good luck Ben, you should do what works for you while you are young.

I felt the same way when I left Guitar Center. It seemed like a dream job to a zitty faced teen (to quote someone else) but the reality soon sunk in after my first 13 hours day. I did have a good time there, and the staff became great friends of mine. But like you said, it's not just about the job. My new job is a 4 minute drive away, is MUCH quieter, and pays better with shorter hours. Good luck at the new job. What's the name of the place, by the way?

As someone who has spent a day with ben, seen his gear, and where he lives. I'm 100% positive being car-less will not be an issue.

I had no qualms about leaving GC after managing one for 2 1/2 years. That was a great day, walking out of there... :D

Dude, have you ever been to San Francisco? Having a car is a serious liability here, and I'm looking forward to being rid of it. No more parking tickets, no more $2.20 gas, no more insurance... come to think of it, I'll be able to afford more Boogie gear not working there than I can as an employee. :D

Robb, actually, my family is in Slidell, which is where I grew up. I lived in red stick for a few years, 98-00, played in several bands there, most notably Stormy for a few months right before I moved back to Orlando. My "thing" ain't got nuttin' to do with Istrouma or Presonus though.
