So, If I don't play a Precision, I'm not a real bass player?

I didn't play one for over twenty years of bass playing but now that I have one I love it so much. I am not saying there aren't other really awesome basses out there but there is really nothing quite like a good precision bass.

I'll bet it was just like "coming home"!!

In order to prevent any back-sliding I urge you to ship that inadequate Ric in your Avatar to me...:)
 
I don't own a P-bass and I play in three bands.

I haven't been in a band for about 3 years. Slightly busy with job and kids. Most of it is that there isn't much out there these days for guitar or bass. My choices are cover bands that play EVERY Fri+Sat, which doesn't quite work with my scheduled weekends. Church is the same prob. Original bands typically want someone who can tour, although most aren't gonna make it out of the basement phase.
