For anyone interested, I do have the seperated studio tracks of that song, bass only if you are interested.
You'll never get his exact tone, no matter what you do. Recorded tones are always different than normal amplifier tones, there are multiple tracks, Di's, you can adjust everything between all instrument for it to sound perfect.
Then you have his live tone, Muse only play big venues that have multiple soundguys, again taking multiple tracks, mixing them on the fly then sending them to a big fullrange Pa, with subs, mid drivers, tweeters etc.
Now, if you were to see Muse in a small 200-300 people club, hearing the real sound of their amps with only minor Pa backing, now that would be the tone you might achieve with all those effects and tri-amping and I'm pretty sure it would be quite different compared to what you hear on cd's or stadiums shows.
