I know this is probably a dumb question givin the clarity of the description, but what does this thing actually do?

Looks like a standard passive tone knob with a push/pull switch that accesses two different values of capacitor.
For my taste, .047 usually works fine. .1 usually seems like a bit too much so I personally wouldn’t be splurging for that switching option.

Push pull switching between cap values is what I got, but that whole thing about finding a resonant peak between the two makes it sound like the two caps are blendable. Like you pick a cap, set tone where you want it, pick the other cap and the first is still in effect. Odd.

It doesn’t matter what it does. The description referring to “incapacitated dragon doggypaddling the bayou” & “the heart might subtly react with ancestral repulsion at the sight of an ancient reptile vibrating intensely” makes me realize that this is something we all need.

Bro, someone needs to totally message carey about not letting his marketers write descriptions on drugs. Did anybody else read his new single coil pickups description? I forgot what they were, but...dang. it was terrible.

I'l chime in here and say that, yeah, their ad copy is weird and pretty much useless as descriptions of what their stuff does. But....if you get on the phone with them and talk to them directly, they're about the most straightforward and easy to deal with company I've ever bought parts from. Plus they make really good stuff. So, call 'em up, talk to 'em, and drop a hint that you think their ad copy is turning away buyers. Maybe they'll get the hint.
