Although this is not something like, where were you when Elvis died, it does have signifigance to people who were really into music and for those people, like myself, we knew where we were. So back in the day, I was part of the whole hair metal scene. When we were out at the rock clubs watching live bands, we would be recording Headbangers Ball on the VCR those Saturday nights so we could catch up on Sunday what new music was out in the metal scene. Thats the first time I got an earful of the Nirvana band, one video on Headbangers Ball of them on a Sunday afternoon pre-recorded from the night before, and WHAMMO! I knew things were changing. It was that pronounced and effective. Then thats exactly what happened, things changed drastcially as if overnight.
