This is one of the few times I wish I could break the swear word rule to post Sammy J on the boards.

That actually means: My cat breath smelling a cat's odor is eating. You can keep your Google Translate back in your pocket, please![]()
there's spell checker on this site? D'OH
... However, TBOT is the single best mix of intelligence, compassion, sarcasm, humor, and absurd nonsense I have yet come across. YMMV.
Something I've noticed about this forum:..
...it's one of the most literate bunches I've ever seen.
Sig.
I'm going to bump this, because it made me happy that some one noticed.![]()

I really appreciate that you all can type legibly and responsibly without saturating your posts with l337speak, OMG!!s, would of's and shizzles.
Mostly I appreciate that you can spell correctly, or at least make use of the spell checker.
There's a whole lot of smart people on this forum.
Must be a bass thing![]()
I thought of an argument to refute this, but then I thought back on other forums that I used to use, and the bass forums all generally have users that use proper spelling and grammar. Your joke seems to be a fact....it's one of the most literate bunches I've ever seen. Must be a bass thing![]()
Your grammar nazi is weak grasshopper. Compound words, unless the a proper or semiproper nouns, do not need to be compounded.Don't mean to put a damper on your post there BassMaster65 but "someone" is one word, not two.![]()

This sums it up quite nicely. I'm a keyboardist, and I joined Talkbass because I love bass, I get great info here, and the humor, civility and helpfulness here are most welcome. It's nice to see that you can have a fair argument on the internet without some moron cussing you out from the safety of his basement. I give the mods a huge amount of credit for setting the tone.Fourm sites where decent spelling and grammer are encouraged by the population are a lot more enjoyable for me. I guess a large part of it is that the mods of those sites also tend to keep control of trolling, flaming, and general public offensiveness. Maybe it's just me being old and grumpy.
Besides TB, I also have been known to waste time at Gearslutz, Studio-Central, and AudioKarma. For the most part, those sites tend to be similar (some more so than others) as far as the intelligence level of the posters. However, TBOT is the single best mix of intelligence, compassion, sarcasm, humor, and absurd nonsense I have yet come across. YMMV.

emote the other way round so he's playing the right way round (lefty). It's biased towards all the righties otherwise!
