Something I've noticed about this forum:..

Can someone do me the favor of turning the :bassist: emote the other way round so he's playing the right way round (lefty). It's biased towards all the righties otherwise!

Have you checked the

Someone DID post a left handed bassist on here once...I forgot to save it.

Also, there's a couple of hundred lefty TBers...you know, the people who play bass the right way round.

Total Members: 168,383

Couple hundred, being generous here, lets say: 500

500 is x% of 168,000 (rounding for sake of ease)

500/168,000 = 0.0029

0.29%

Again, dissenting opinion. Would you care to round up a posse?

Its not called right handed because we use our right hands, but rather because its the right way to play. You lefties get whats left over.

:p

Again, dissenting opinion. If you played the right way, you'd say the same about lefties. It could be said that 99.71% of TB members think lefties look awkward. Who knows, maybe some of that .29% would even agree that lefties look awkward playing bass.

There is no such thing as the 'right' way to play bass. And the only reason that righties get the upper hand in music is the historical bias towards right-handed people.

Hell, in medieval times being left-handed was enough to get you a charge of witchcraft and the death penalty.
