Sonar 8.5

Just got my hands on a copy of Sonar 8.5

I am a total newb as far as Sonar goes. I would like to put it on a laptop.

any input on this?

audio interface choices?

should I go for more CPU power or RAM/Memory?

I am a PC tech so I most likely will be finding something used/barebones and upgrading it :)

THanks

Problem with Sonar is they don't allow you to sell it second hand. If you bought it retail they have complete system requirements at cakewalk.com. Cakewalk is owned by Roland and they have great support.

I think that Sonar is great, and I did upgrade to X1. I'd say X1 is much better user interface. They did a great job.

Any audio interface is fine as long as it has ASIO. ASIO4ALL also works good with most MB soundcards.
Pick Ram over CPU power. And fast drives (bigger the better) Using a separate drive for audio always seems to work best.
